Getting To and From Airport

We recommend you get here at least 2 hours before your flight is due to depart, to allow plenty of time to find a parking space, check-in and pass through airport security.

By Car

Travelling from the North / North-East
M6 southbound to junction 21A with M62. Please note that junction 21A is a split junction, and motorists should ensure they come off at the slip road signposted Liverpool. Follow M62 West to junction 6 onto the A5300 to the A561 and follow signs to the Airport, which is situated off Speke Hall Avenue.

Travelling from the South / East
M6 northbound to junction 20 with M56. Follow M56 to junction 12 onto A557/A562 dual carriageway via Runcorn Bridge to merge with A561. Follow signs to the Airport, situated off Speke Hall Avenue.

Travelling from the Wirral / North Wales
Passengers travelling from Wirral may find it more convenient at peak times to use the M53 and then the M56 (as instructions from the South / East) rather than a route through the City Centre of Liverpool via the Mersey Tunnels. Passengers travelling from North Wales should join the A55 to connect with the M56 eastbound, and then follow instructions as from the East.

Advice for Sat-Nav users
The postcode for Liverpool John Lennon Airport is L24 1YD, however, please note that the airport is well signposted, and drivers are advised to follow the road signage in place.

Terravision coach journeys from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Shudehill Interchange Manchester City Center take just 65 minutes and adult tickets cost £8 one way, or £12 return. Coaches depart every hour from Liverpool John Lennon Airport outside the Arrivals Hall near the Yellow Submarine.
Tickets can be pre-booked online or bought direct from the Terravision Ticket Desk staff in the Arrivals Hall, Departures Hall or at the Coach.

In designing the terminal buildings and facilities we have attempted to apply standards and good practices in order to provide an inclusive environment.
You must ensure that you pre-notify and specify your needs with the airline when you book your flight; we cannot guarantee all of the assistance services for non pre-notified passengers.
Airline safety rules state that anyone unable to fasten their seatbelt, leave their seat and reach an emergency exit unaided should be accompanied. This also applies to passengers who need help with breathing, feeding, using the toilet, or taking medication.
 

 

Left Luggage
Left Luggage facilities are available at the Information Desk, on the ground floor of the Terminal Building.
Please note, flammable items cannot be left as Left Luggage and must be disposed of in the correct manner.
The facility is available from 8.30am until 5.00pm, 7 days per week. For further information, please call 0871 521 8484 and select option 2.
